
These earrings were sculpted from wood set aside while gathering firewood from our woods near Waynetown, Indiana. Burls are growths that develop over many years on trees that are facing stress of some sort. (See the final picture.) The term "live-edge" refers to the raw, uncut surface left at the bottom of the earrings.
They are 1.75" from the top of the hook to the bottom of the wood and weigh a quarter of an ounce. They've been soaked in mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees. The hardware is nickel-free.
