Black Walnut Blockhead Spoon - 12"

This item was sculpted from a log left behind after a large-scale timber harvest on a friend’s property near Crawfordsville, Indiana. 

The flat head of this spoon is good for scraping the bottom of a cooking or serving pan.

The spoon has been soaked in food-safe mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees. The glossy finish will eventually fade with use and be replaced with muted color variations. You may use mineral oil or other food-safe treatments periodically if you desire, but no treatment is necessary for the spoon to remain useful for many years.
