This utensil was sculpted from a branch left behind after a timber harvest on a friend’s property near our home. The lighter wood is the sapwood from the edge of the log. This design makes the spoon useful for both cooking and serving. It has a long shallow bowl and a flat head for scraping the bottom of the pan. The spoon has been soaked in mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees.
