Black cherry long spurtle - 14”

This utensil was sculpted from locally harvested wood. The spurtle design is useful for stirring batter and mixing dough in large bowls. It is also useful for sautéing and for scraping cut pieces of vegetables off of cutting boards. 

The utensil has been soaked in food-safe mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees. The glossy finish will eventually fade with use and be replaced with muted color variations and a fine, velvety patina. You may treat it periodically with mineral oil or another food-safe oil to sharpen colors if you desire.
