Maple spurtle - 13”

This item was sculpted from sugar maple wood purchased from a father-son sawmill operation in Crawfordsville. It has been soaked in fractionated organic coconut oil

Spurtles are useful for sautéing, stirring stock pots, stirring dough or batter, and wiping items off of cutting boards. The beveled underside of the edges maximize bowl/pan contact, allowing the utensil to slide under food.  

All wood items should be hand-washed. If you’d like to restore the utensil’s original tones, you may occasionally treat it with mineral oil, fractionated coconut oil, or any other food-safe wood finish.
