Spalted Sugar Maple Roundhead Spoon - 14"

This item was sculpted from wood from an aging tree we had to remove from beside our house.   

The design of this spoon make it great for serving, while the natural accents make it nice enough to function as a display piece.

The spoon has been soaked in food-safe mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees. The glossy finish will eventually fade with use and be replaced with muted color variations. You may use mineral oil or other food-safe treatments periodically if you desire, but no treatment is necessary for the spoon to remain useful for many years.
