Sugar maple ladle/scoop - 12”

This item was sculpted from a tree that was in danger of falling on a home in Crawfordsville. This style is good for serving generous portions of soup, chili, and other dishes. The bowl has a capacity of approximately 1/2 cup. 

The utensil has been soaked in food-safe mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees. The glossy finish will eventually fade with use and be replaced with muted color variations and a fine, velvety patina. You may treat it periodically with mineral oil or another food-safe oil to sharpen colors if you desire.
