Sugar Maple Mixing Spatula - 13"

This item was sculpted from wood from an aging tree we had to remove from beside our house.  

The hole in the blade enables the spatula to function like a whisk, allowing some material to pass through while the blade scrapes the side of the bowl. 

The item has been soaked in food-safe mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees. The glossy finish will eventually fade with use and be replaced with muted color variations. You may use mineral oil or other food-safe treatments periodically if you desire, but no treatment is necessary for the spoon to remain useful for many years.
